Marc Hafner
PhD Student
Hi, my name is Marc Hafner, and I am a PhD student at the Workgroup for Secure Mobile Networking at Ruhr University Bochum. My research focuses on the convergence of cybersecurity and physical security. Among others, I deal with tampering detection solutions, as well as LPWAN technologies and corresponding security protocols. In my free time, I enjoy playing beach volleyball and board games with friends.
Maryam Shaygan Tabar
PhD Student
Hi, my name is Maryam Shaygan Tabar, and I am a PhD student specializing in hardware security at the Workgroup for Secure Mobile Networking at Ruhr University Bochum. I completed my bachelor's degree in electronics and earned a master's degree in IT security from Ruhr University Bochum. My research focuses on developing innovative tamper detection methods using radio frequencies. Additionally, I explore the security of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations to enhance their security and reliability. In my free time, I enjoy staying active through sports and expressing my creativity through painting.

Johannes Kortz
Assistant
Hi, I'm Johannes and I study IT-Security at the Ruhr University Bochum. Im currently in my last master semester and I work at PHYSEC as a Research Assistant. I also help organizising the Wireless Physical-Layer Security Lab and do parts of the lectures.
Jonathan Mazyrko
Assistant
Hello there! My name is Jonathan Mazyrko and I am a student of IT security at the Ruhr University Bochum. Besides my studies I am working together with Christian Zenger and Johannes Kortz on the Wireless Physical Layer Security lecture. Furthermore I work as a scientific assistant at PHYSEC GmbH. My interests in the field of IT security are reverse engineering, system security and areas of system theory. Besides my studies and work I play drums and do volunteer work.
